DJ Sassy is a 26 year old South Londoner. Her career path started at Lewisham College where she
completed a Theatre Studies course, then went on to study the Method Lee Strasberg technique
with David Bennett.
Up until recently DJ Sassy was managed by Trevor Nelson, and is now managed by Slice PR. She
has been one of London’s most successful models for the last five years and is now recognized as
the country’s Number One female Hip Hop and RnB DJ.
She has graced the covers of numerous magazines and has done spreads in Cosmopolitan, Elle,
FHM, Front, GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Loaded, Marie Claire, Stuff, T3 and Vogue to name but a few.
DJ Sassy was first spotted djing at the world famous Miami Music Conference and reached A-list
status on the circuit when she accompanied P Diddy on the decks at his launch party held in Café de
Paris, July 1999. Her career has soared ever since.
In addition to playing regular slots on the UK’s club scene DJ Sassy’s Private Clients over the last
couple of years include, Eminem, Destiny’s Child, Lil’ Kim, Mobb Deep, Misteeq, Lennox Lewis, Mos
Def.
Corporate Clients include, Levis, Sega Dreamcast, Microsoft X Box, Smirnoff, Wonder Bra, Evian,
Sony, Warner Bros, Radio One and Capital Radio.
High profile parties include Hip Hop fashion designer Karl Kanis, James Bond and Mummy
Premieres.
DJ Sassy is always on the move, and has been involved in MTV’s ‘Lick’ tour, as well as completing a
‘Levis’ and University tour of her own this year taking her all over the UK.
DJ Sassy is now an International name. She plays host to parties in Israel, Kuala Lumpur, Miami,
Singapore and Ireland on a regular basis. One of the most memorable events being djing at MTV
Asia’s ‘Grind’ Party to 5000 people on the beach in November 2002!
You may also have seen DJ Sassy on various TV shows including, Channel 4’s ‘Celeb TV’ and ‘The
Big Breakfast’, on BBC2 with either Karl Kanis or Grandmaster Flash, Satellite Television on Trevor
Nelson’s ‘Urban Choice’ or ‘Clubber Vision’. Most recently, DJ Sassy was a contestant on Channel 4’s
‘Celebrity 5 go Dating’ and won the ‘Best Celebrity to Date’ title, this will be aired on Channel 4
Spring/Summer 2003.
In 2002 DJ Sassy took to the studio, and with MC Skeme, recorded a remixed version of LL Cool J’s
‘Doin’ It’, which did extremely well on urban radio and in clubland. She then took to the road to
perform her song on the ‘UK Rap Tour 2002’ throughout the country. DJ Sassy will also be
appearing in the ‘100 Best DJ’s of the World’ book out early 2003.
With one cutting edge HipHop/RnB CD, Volume II on the way, and ‘DJ Sassy Wear’ a clothing line
already doing well on the street, there seems to be no end to this girl’s talents!
