Description
Emerging from the tattered ruins of a musical scene that has long since been recognized as a rebellious cry for attention and change, Private Joker is now playing a fundamental role in keeping within the root of this premise. Private Joker’s musical standards are anchored strongly with integrity and pride in the pure energy created by musical expression. Their music has been described as a driving melodic machine brought about to provoke emotion and hope in it’s homely angst ridden niche. The band formed at the end of 2000 in the outlying suburbs of Chicago, and since that time has risen from nothing to something. Supplying a precise yet furious backbone to the group is drummer Shawn Fredericks. Next is the band’s partner songwriter and bassist Scott Workley, whose low-end punch and solid harmonics add a unique sound to the band. Last, standing atop the rhythmic foundation formed by the latter two members is Dave Klod, the band’s partner songwriter as well as lead vocalist and screaming midrange guitarist. The band’s debut recording 57 Corners was recorded at Sonic Iguana Studios in Lafayette, IN. The album was engineered and mixed by Phillip Hill (Teen Idols), and mastered by Mass Giorgini, whom has worked with several talented bands in his many years of producing. The band has no intentions of slowing down and is already causing a local buzz sure to persistently grow. Their fiercely powerful live show continues to draw attention and will soon put the quiet suburb of Glendale Heights on the map. |
